Me: You are right by the house huh.
Kenny: Yup. That's why when George told me bout you ... assuming he's your brother.
Me: [smile]
Kenny: Yea so I wouldn't have to go all the way to the westbank to get my hair braided.
Me: You want me to do it today?
Kenny: If that's cool with you.
Me: Yea that's cool.

[We made it to my house within our small conversation. I was always the first one home so I had the only set of keys. Ma didn't want to get all of us a key and if we were locked out we would have to climb through the window and open the back door.]

Kenny: Let me go put my stuff up and I be right back.
Me: Aight.

[I went inside the house. I turned on the A/C so the house could cool. This was a shotgun house so everything was lined up and you can see straight through. My 2 little sisters slept in the living room. Me and my big sister slept in the next room by the garage. Next was my brothers room then the bathroom/small hallway. Then my mother's room and the kitchen.]

Me: It's better than the projects.

[I dropped my stuff on my bed and then changed clothes. We wore uniforms which was cause we didn't have alot of clothes to keep wearing something everyday. And it cuts back on cliques and stuff in school.]

Kenny: [from outside] Y/n!
Me: I'm coming.

[I quickly slipped on my shirt and then let Kenny in.]

Kenny: Took you long enough.
Me: [laughs] Shut up.

[Kenny walked in and I closed the door and locked it. You could never be to sure in a white neighborhood.]

Me: You want to go in the garage where the big screen is or do you want to stay up here in the cool and watch my t.v.
Kenny: Where the PS2 at?
Me: In the garage.
Kenny: And that's where we shall go.

[Me and Kenny walked into the garage. This where our washer and dryer at. They had grandmother's car in here. And alot of other stuff to take up space. My brother had turned it into a lil room for company to. So his game was down here. And they had two refrigerators down here.]

Kenny: Who got the bed down here.
Me: Nobody but George ... come on.

[I sat down on the bed aand I put a nice pillow down for Kenny to sit down on. He got the game ready for him to play and we had fun for the next hour.]

Chapter 2; October 18, 2005

Kenny: Y/n wassup.
Me: [teary eyes] Could you come by my house for a few minutes till someone comes home.
Kenny: Yea let me get a shirt.

[I was terrified for y/n. She look as if somebody had tried to kill her. I grabbed my shirt and then we went to her house. She locked the door behind us frantically. Then she locked all the locks. She checked all the windows and all the rest of the locks. I stopped her in her tracks by grabbing her.]

Kenny: That's wrong.
Me: He..he..he grabbed me just like that.

[Tears started rolling down her eyes. I can't deal with tears. I can deal with yelling and hitting but no the tears.]

Kenny: What happened y/n.
Me: I was walking ho..home and theis guy started following me. I..i..i thought nothing of it.But the out of nwhere as I was turning th.the..the corner he grabbed me. then he said "I'm watching you and the next time I get you I'll rape you" Then he..he licked my face and left. At first I coouldn't move. I was so sc..scared. I was scared.

[She kept shaking as if she had parkinsins. I enclosed her in a tight hug. She was so scared. I could feel it.]

Kenny: It's okay. You know I'll protect you.
Me: No Kenny he was serious.
Kenny: Shh. I got you girl. You my bestfriend and nothing is going to happen to you.

[And nothing was gonna happen to her. I was gonna protect her, she is my bestfriend and I love her. I would do anything to see her happy and smile.]

Me: I'm really afraid Kenny.
Kenny: Snookie I got you now calm down and braid my hair.
Me: [smile] Ok.

[She calmed down a bit and we went into the gaage. She still was a lil shaky but she cooled when she started braiding my hair.]

Me: You thirsty.
Kenny: Yes!

[I was thirsty cause when she caught me I was working out. She got up and went to the fridge.]

You: Powerade or Gatorade?
